About Us: Aladdin Mediterranean Cuisine & Grill has been a beloved part of Houston's food scene since 2006, serving authentic Mediterranean fare across two locations. We are exploring an exciting journey to enhance our digital presence with a state-of-the-art food-ordering e-commerce platform. To achieve this, we need a UI/UX Designer who brings technical expertise and a passion for creating meaningful and engaging user experiences.
The Role: We are searching for a UI/UX Designer with specific experience in Food Ordering e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of the digital landscape in the food industry. This role demands a high level of patience, exceptional communication skills, and the flexibility to work weekends as we are on a tight schedule to finalize our project.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process for our e-commerce platform, focusing on creating a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Work closely with developers, providing precise design specifications and feedback to ensure accurate implementation.
- Conduct user research and testing to refine and optimize the design.
- Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
- Due to our project timeline, be available for team discussions and feedback sessions, especially on weekends.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in UI/UX design, with a portfolio that includes successful e-commerce projects, ideally within the Food Ordering space.
- Expertise in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma).
- Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, patience, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and listen to feedback attentively.
- Availability to work on weekends during this project's critical phases.
