Celedon Law is in search of an Experienced Portuguese-speaking immigration Paralegal or LLM to join our expanding legal team in our Marlborough, MA office. We are a celebrated immigration law firm known for our award-winning service and warm, family-like environment.
Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Collaboration with team members is an important component of any role at Celedon Law.
Calendaring and keeping track of important filing deadlines and appearance dates. Assisting in preparing and assembling immigration applications and petitions, including family-based visa petitions, waivers, national interest waivers, residency and citizenship applications, applications for victims of violent crimes or human trafficking, and applications for asylum, withholding of removal, and protection under the Convention Against Torture or cancellation of removal. Correspondence with clients, attorneys, and government entities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to multitask with various software programs, such as MyCase, Dropbox, Clio, or any other case management software.
Desired Qualifications:
A minimum of 2-4 years of experience working in an immigration law firm or a comparable environment where immigration legal services are provided. Knowledge of Immigration Court and USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) procedures is essential. Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Must be detail-oriented and committed to meeting deadlines. Exceptional communication skills are required.
