Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Immigration or Family Law Paralegal to join our team. As an Immigration Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting our attorneys with various immigration and family law cases cases. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in immigration and/or family law and a passion for helping clients navigate the complex immigration process.
Duties:
- Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information for immigration cases
- Prepare and file immigration forms, petitions, and applications
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as affidavits, briefs, and appeals
- Conduct legal research on immigration laws and regulations
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and other parties involved in the immigration process
- Assist with document translation and interpretation as needed
- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completness
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Immigration or Family Law Paralegal
- Strong knowledge of immigration and/or familylaws, regulations, and procedures
- Proficient in data entry and document management systems
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and iManage
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
