ABOUT US:
Canyon is a general contractor and design-builder which has served nation-wide clients for nearly 20 years. We complete a variety of Construction Projects from schools, auto dealerships, hotels, multi-family housing, and more. Provide services such as soliciting and compiling bid packages; contract management; purchasing/scheduling of materials; project close-outs and job-costing; all working with and supporting the project management team. These team members may be located in our Tucson office, and other offices or work sites located throughout the United States. Applicant should be willing to travel based on work needs and requirements.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
• Coordinate with project managers, and other team members
• Review and comply with all contract documents
• Attend pre-construction and construction team meetings / taking meeting minutes and distribute afterwards to team members
• Maintain job files
• Distribute Subcontracts
• Enter/update project budgets
• Prepare and collect lien wavers
• Close-out documents
• Support project managers in various tasks
• Compile and Distribute Project month-end reports
• Support for projects throughout all phases of construction
• Work in a team environment with a variety of people supporting each project
• Responsible to assist in all aspects of construction administration from permitting through project closeout.
- Paperwork related to subcontractor,
-Processing W-9's ,
-Processing and reviewing signed contracts
- Verify Subcontractor's insurance documents
- Process and review Davis Bacon projects
-Verifying licensing for subcontractor's validation
Education and Experience
• Commercial Construction Experience a must
• Business college training an advantage
• Some accounting/finance experience preferred
• Competent computer skills including ProCore, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint - Timberline a plus
• Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and data collection, cloud technology
• Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written)
• Strong analytical skills relating to finance and construction industry
