Overview
The Executive Vice President of Sales will provide sales leadership to the organization and develop the overall sales strategies and processes that drive revenue growth and accomplish financial objectives. This key executive role will collaborate with and lead all of the company's business segments and channel leaders to achieve and exceed sales goals, to attain and surpass profitability (margins), and to ensure that the business realizes exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishes and manages the organization's strategic plan.
- Oversees goal-setting processes for all levels of the sales organization and uses data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance.
- Creates capabilities to effectively analyze the business environment, identify and understand competitors, and retain and expand the customer base.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify market needs and innovative new products.
- Builds effective sales and support teams through recruiting, mentoring, and development programs.
- Participates in and helps to negotiate strategic or high-value sales.
- Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the segments.
- Aligns segment and sales leadership to collaborate with one another and lead the charge in sales.
- Implements processes, tools, and structures to support sales and sales operations organizational efforts/needs.
- Oversees, and identifies areas to improve revenue generation.
- Analyzes financial reports and identifies areas of improvement.
- Partners with Finance department to prepare operating budgets.
- Executes the company's mission, values, policies always, demonstrating fairness to both our people and our business in mind.
- Establishes and manages the functional areas strategic plan.
- Thrive in a busy environment, be highly organized, and goal oriented.
- Possess and utilize knowledge regarding the current developments and trends in the industry.
Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)
- Should have strong experience as an influencer in business, internally and externally.
- Outstanding leadership skills include critical thinking, decision making, delegation, and listening.
- Employs influence, relationship building, composure, and open communication tactics to build trust with internal and external customers.
- Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels (written/verbal) and with customers.
- Requires a bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred.
- 15 or more years in sales leadership that demonstrates continual growth in responsibilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and solid decision-making abilities.
- Must possess strong analytical skills to help them make informed decisions for our company.

Physical requirements
- Ability to travel 50% via air and land to near and distant branches.
- Ability to navigate in unfamiliar locations.
- Ability to work in Distribution Center, Branch, and Corporate environment.

- Ability to talk on the phone.
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
This position is time-consuming and does not stop at the end of a regular business day. Candidates must be able to manage their time to meet the needs of the business.
