Community Home Builders (formerly Yamhill Community Development Corporation) is a private non-profit that has been building homes and investing in rural communities for over twenty-eight years. Our organization partners with families and individuals, helping them build their own homes, achieve long-term stability and learn valuable skills aiding in long-term home maintenance. The heart of our organization is the Mutual Self-Help Housing Program. Here, 8-12 families team together to help build each others’ homes. Once complete, the families own their homes and have earned sweat equity along the way! This program is perfect for low and moderate income families, with mortgages that adjust with income levels. In addition to the Mutual Self-Help Program, Community Home Builders owns and manages farm-worker housing apartments and operates an array of savings and educational programs aimed at helping families find their way into affordable, stable, long-term housing..

This position is responsible for implementing the visoin of the Board of Directors by overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plans of Community Home Builders. Oher key duties include land and project development, interfacing with our government agecy partners, marketing and community outreach.
Key duties:
Organizational Operations - 40%
- Effective administrative operations
- Managment, hiring, and retention of Staff
- Oversight of full operations
Building Project Development - 25%
- Oversight of building projects
- Review and analyze realtionships with existing contracted parters
- Research potential Real Estate and Business acquisitions
- Meet board set goals and outcomes
Financial Governance- 15%
- Responsible for the financial integrity of CHB
- Propose and manage annual budget
- Maximize resourse utilization
- Search and apply for grants and other assitance programs as needed
Organizational Strategy - 10%
- Strategic planning for organizational future
Board Governance - 10%
- Lead the organization in a manner that supports the board of directors
- Effectivly communication with board to allow them to meet their feduciary duty
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
