POSITION DUTIES
This position serves as the lead office administrator and intermediary for the Deputy State Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and is responsible for providing high-level administrative and secretarial support in establishing and maintaining all office protocols.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversees scheduling and calendar logistics.
- Completes and prepares documents for Deputy State Superintendent's review, approval, and signature.
- Writes, reviews, and edits letters and memos.
- Establishes and maintains filing systems for records and documents.
- Addresses and directs incoming correspondence and inquiries.
- Reviews and tracks legislative details during the legislative session.
- Develops forms, summaries, and presentations.
- Requisitions supplies and reconciles credit card statements and expense accounts.
- Assists with special projects as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Seven years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative or secretarial support. Relevant experience in a State or local government agency is desirable.
Note: Candidates may substitute the possession of an Associate’s Degree for two years of the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in handling administrative tasks with strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Experience in composing and/or proofreading clear, concise, and professional correspondence, emails, and reports.
