Job Summary:
The Fleet Operations Manager & Administrator will oversee our entire fleet's operations, focusing on last-mile delivery efficiency, vehicle maintenance, driver management, and contract administration. You will ensure optimal operational performance and compliance with all transportation laws and regulations. This role requires a balance of strategic planning, operational oversight, and administrative excellence, making it suitable for a highly organized, proactive, and experienced professional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement efficient route planning strategies for last-mile delivery operations to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, registrations, and inspections to ensure the fleet is in top condition and compliant with all regulatory requirements.
• Oversee driver scheduling, hiring, training, and performance evaluation, ensuring a high level of professionalism and compliance with safety standards.
• Administer contracts with clients and contractors, including negotiation, renewal, and compliance monitoring, to maintain and grow business relationships.
• Manage the payroll for drivers and support staff, including the accurate calculation of hours, expenses, and bonuses.
• Handle claims and customer service issues related to fleet operations, resolving them in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Ensure the company's adherence to transportation laws, regulations, and standards, including environmental and safety regulations.
• Utilize technology to improve operational efficiency, including fleet tracking, scheduling software, and communication tools.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate fleet operations with broader company objectives, supporting overall growth and operational excellence.
• Prepare regular reports on fleet operations, including performance metrics, cost analysis, and improvement strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet operations management, specifically within the logistics and last-mile delivery sector.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, vehicle maintenance, and fleet safety standards.
• Experience in driver management, training, and development.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and technologies.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to manage relationships with team members, clients, and contractors.
• Ability to work remotely and manage tasks efficiently in a self-directed environment.
• Willingness to be on call for addressing operational issues as they arise.
