We are seeking a passionate and hands on leader as the Global Head of Analytics and Data Science. This position will report directly to the Chief Data Officer in a dynamic environment working closely with the executive digital leadership team responsible for defining, managing, and directing the execution of Ingram Micro's enterprise Data Science and analytics strategy, powering Ingram Micro Xvantage™, our next generation e-marketplace platform for technology distribution.
The Exec Dir, Analytics and Data Science will be responsible for enabling a fast-paced data driven culture to lead decision making and driving business growth across Ingram globally. This includes overseeing the development and delivery of analytics and insights to business leaders, use of Data Science and Gen AI for advanced analytics, insights, forecasts, and trend models. Standardizing and harmonizing data into a single source of truth on cloud data lake, developing a Global metrics model to standardize business metrics and KPI's, democratizing and enabling self-service access to data. The role will act as a business partner and thought leader to the management team and business unit leaders to help drive data-driven value creation.

• Collaborate with business leaders across Ingram to identify high value use cases, deliver insights and data products that will help drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and deliver best in class customer experience.
• Establish and oversee analytics service delivery model, data warehouse, enterprise applications, Cloud Data Lakes, and data governance framework.
• Lead a large growing team of globally distributed data scientist, data engineers, data warehouse, integration and business intelligence engineers and data analysts from diverse backgrounds into the future.
• Establish data quality and data privacy frameworks and be responsible for delivering high quality data across the organization.
• Collaborate effectively with management team members to implement companywide KPIs to drive improvements in overall company performance.
• Leverage data to drive business insights, optimize operational efficiencies, and support decision-making processes within the organization.
• Build high-quality enterprise solutions, be results-driven and bring strong data engineering and technology skills and a deep understanding of modern technologies including software and data engineering capability development, cloud engineering standards & practices, modern security and IAM concepts.
• Build, coach and inspire a high performing team. Manage the team's performance and identify opportunities for ongoing growth and development.

• Partner with business, product, and engineering teams, to deliver solutions that enable launch of Ingram Micro Xvantage™ platform for Customers, Vendors and Associates globally across 60+ countries.
• Develop innovative Data Science solutions, products, and strategies across the global business for the digital/eCommerce business unit.
• Work closely with multiple business units to identify areas for further analysis, and supervise the data collection, model development, analysis, implementation, tracking, and reported ROI.
• Develop innovative use cases using emerging Gen AI technologies to expand the scope of analytic product offerings, including but not limited to traditional operations and logistics optimizations, customer and product segmentation, sales and marketing strategies/tactics and insights for vendors and reseller partners.

What you bring to the role:

• 10 + years of experience leading large, distributed teams in a Data Science organization, with experience in B2B or B2C eCommerce required.
• Master's degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, economics, statistics, operations research, applied mathematics, economics (applied micro, applied econometrics, empirical IO, labor, finance, behavioral, applied macro/time series).
• Significant expertise leading the Data Science function preferably at a technology-intensive ecommerce business.
• Experience with Google cloud platform, ML Big Query, Looker OR other equivalent cloud technologies on AWS or Azure Advanced skills in statistics, mathematical modeling, econometrics, and computer science.
• Ability to retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to answering specific questions or improving system performance.
• A visionary who understands the relevance and impact that data and analytics can have and can leverage into a future state vision.
• Transformational and seasoned advanced analytics, Data Science and quantitative skills with proven ability to drive results and lead a team from vision through execution and delivery.
• Ability to provide leadership by applying quantitative analytics to business problems.
• A track record around driving innovation and transformative change.
• Experience working effectively in complex organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, leading through a matrix, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities.
• Superior communication, presentation, and client management skills.
• A demonstrated ability to lead and motivate people and get results through others.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple initiatives and priorities.
• Problem analysis and resolution at a strategic and functional level.
• Expertise in Python, R, JupyterLab, Querying Languages, MLOps Tools, data engineering/infrastructure tools, and cloud base infrastructure a plus.

• Cloud data lakes/storage/databases and tools such as AWS S3, EMR, Data Pipeline and other Cloud providers such as MS Azure and IBM.
• Expertise on-premises and growing Cloud data warehouse landscapes and data marts ranging from gigabytes to terabytes and future petabytes.

Position may require occasional travel, including international travel.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $183,200.00 - $329,700.00 per year.
The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
