Job Summary:
Selling engineered lumber products to new and current customers; prospect and generate new business, cold calling on new accounts to generate new permanent sales, educate customers on engineered lumber. Work with local branch staff to help support Engineered Lumber sales and operations. Quote and design engineered lumber jobs, sizing beams and offer technical support for dealer yards and builders across US Lumber footprint, in conjunction with full line outside sales and sales managers. The hours and level of responsibility may vary by geographical location or product line.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Complete prospecting activities to establish first and follow up appointments with customer decision makers through cold calls, lead generation, referrals, networking.
- Must also maintain a current customer base.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers.
- Educate current customers on new products or product lines.
- Determine new customer needs and propose appropriate level of product sales.
- Interacts with existing and new customers to increase sales of product.
- Identify and resolves any customer issues and problems.
- Travel to customers and trade shows to present products.
- May assist Corporate Accounting with collection of payment.
- Responsible for upkeep on company vehicle maintenance and professional vehicle presentation.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 75% of the time while operating a vehicle.
- Must be able to ascend/descend from a vehicle, when traveling to and from customers.
- Continuously exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- Frequently communicates with customers who would like to make a purchase or have inquiries about their account status, balance, etc. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must be able to move about an office setting and position self to access cabinets, copy machine, etc.
- Must be able to regularly move or lift (boxes, samples, etc.) weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to visit dealer yards to interact with customers.
- Must be able to visit builder job-sites when needed.

Pay Range:
$70,000-$90,000 per year based on experience. + Commission
Required credentials:
- Minimum five (5) years experience in engineered lumber sales and/or building materials industry
- At least one (1) year of prior experience with design software is required.
- College degree preferred, but relevant work experience may be considered.
