What’s the role:

We are seeking a Product Manager to help develop and drive our Private Markets product strategy within Bloomberg’s Portfolio Analytics and Risk department. The candidate must possess a strong understanding of Infrastructure and Real Estate investments from a Limited Partner (investor) and General Partner perspective. As part of the team you will help formulate, implement, and promote risk and performance analytics to provide total portfolio coverage for Asset Owners spanning private and public market investments. You will play an active role in overall product vision, including Portfolio Analytics design, quality assurance, product feedback, collaboration, and contribution to marketing strategy.
 
We’ll trust you to:

  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to develop and execute plans to improve our total portfolio offering, focusing on private markets
  • Build a close working relationship with the business, Research and Sales divisions and incorporate their feedback and direction into the improvement of the portfolio suite of analytics
  • Contribute to other related initiatives including the development of workflow tools, classification systems, data integration
  • Interact with end users to understand their needs and to promote our offerings
  • Actively engage with engineering, client support, data and product teams to improve production processes and to increase the operational efficiency of the business

You’ll need to have:

  • 7+ years of experience within Alternative Investments or an adjacent focus
  • Experience with Infrastructure deals and direct real estate investments (unsecuritized)
  • Knowledge of Asset Owner investment technology solutions with a focus on alternative assets
  • Proven understanding of capital markets and the investment lifecycle as it pertains to infrastructure and real-estate investors
  • Knowledge of the risk, analytics, and portfolio management needs of institutional private markets investors
  • Demonstrated Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong operational and process management skills

  • Knowledge of Private Equity, fund and direct, investment lifecycle and accounting
  • Experience leading organizations through periods of change and introducing new, innovative ideas
  • CAIA
  • Eagerness to work in a challenging, complex, fast-paced, high-pressure environment
