Job Summary:
The Event Specialist will be responsible for the coordination of tasks related to Pinkerton sponsored and hosted events including trade shows, business meetings and other events. This position will have a hybrid work schedule (in office/remote) in Ann Arbor, MI.
Essential Functions:
- Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
- Serving as the main contact for event coordination and logistics including trade shows, company business meetings and other events.
- Independently and proactively coordinate multiple project plans simultaneously;
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across multiple departments/regions as well as external vendors to ensure successful project and event outcomes.
- Provide frequent status updates on in-progress projects and alert team members regarding upcoming milestones and deadlines.
- Track inventory of materials and booth items providing updates to management regularly.
- Day-to-day administrative work such as collecting invoices, ensuring payment through accounts payable, and providing spend to internal stakeholders for tracking.
- Coordinating multiple events at once.
- Assist in the creation of a work environment and culture that reinforces our company's mission and core values.
- Support internal communications efforts and administrative tasks.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree with at least two years of administration, events planning and coordination experience, or in a related role. Pinkerton is an inclusive employer who seeks candidates with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
