DUTIES: Under the direction of the WYCC Building Manager, the Event and Services Coordinator will assist with the successful coordination of events hosted by the department. Duties focus on, but are not limited to, event management and logistics and may include event set up/break down, layout, vendor and participant communication, budget management and task list development. Position includes work both in the office and on-site at events. Assist the WYCC Building Manager with research projects and other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with others.
2. Ability to undertake and complete operational and administrative projects independently; ability to work under pressure.
3. Ability to deal effectively with other employees and the general public.
4. Ability to work evenings, early mornings and weekends, with occasional travel as needed to accommodate scheduled events.
5. Possession of valid driver's license.
6. Associate’s degree preferred and/or one to three years’ experience in Event Coordination within a convention center space.
A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
