David Zwirner gallery seeks a dynamic Events Intern to join its Marketing department. The position is based in New York and reports into Director of Events. The ideal candidate will have related events experience, with an interest in the NYC restaurant, hospitality and entertainment industries. Excellent communication and data management is required. This position will involve contact with artists, curators, collectors and vendors therefore discretion, professionalism, and superb client-facing skills are essential.
Primary duties include:
- Supporting Private Client and Gallery-Related Events
- Utilize internally developed CRM database to organize invitation and attendee guest lists and
assist with data upkeep - Work with Marketing, Client Dev, and Sales teams to manage client outreach and RSVPs for
select events - In concert with the Events team, perform research on possible event venues and maintain venue
presentations and repositories - Partner with the Marketing/Design team on event collateral (e.g. invitations) and manage
freelancers as needed (e.g. calligraphy) - Upload and organize historic event collateral in internal asset management database
- Assist with annual Summer Staff Party event planning and logistics.
Summer internship runs from approximately May 28th - August 2nd. To ensure that our interns have a well-rounded and educational experience, we ask for a commitment of 3 months, with a minimum of 3 full days per week. Hours are 10AM –6PM, Monday through Friday, with additional hours for occasional events and openings. All interns are paid New York State minimum wage of $16/hour.
