REPORTS TO: Project Management and Marketing Manager
LOCATION: On Campus, Pasadena, CA
Brief Description:
An integral member of the Brehm Center team, the Events and Office Specialist will serve as the “front door” of the Brehm Center, maintaining a presence on campus, supporting all administrative and event planning needs of our multiple initiatives (Brehm Film, Brehm Preaching, Brehm Visual Arts, and our cohorts).
Administration (50%)
Calendaring for Executive Director and Project Management and Marketing Manager
Booking Travel
Events administration in communication with Project Manager and team
“Front Door” of the Brehm Center, fielding inquiries and sending them to the appropriate persons
Maintain and reply to all BrehmCenter@fuller.edu emails and advise students and Learners on how best to engage with the Brehm Center
Assist Project Manager with internal project briefs and external marketing needs, including sending e-news, and posting social media posts.
Keep track of leads and contacts who expressed interest in a Brehm program or degree.
Manage content calendar (emails, socials, blog, etc) with the support of the Project Manager.
Programming and Events (50%)
Manage all details for conferences and events (including, but not limited to: annual conferences, workshops, lectures, fundraising events, and donor meetings)
Events marketing in partnership with Project Manager
Recruit sponsorships for Brehm events, and maintain a database of past sponsors
Serve as primary liaison for churches and nonprofit partners who may host or sponsor events
Book sites, manage catering, room setup, parking, print materials, and speaker hospitality for all events
Develop and maintain broad network of partnerships with vendors
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Understanding of the mission and vision of the Brehm Center and ability to focus on events that are mission-centric
Minimum two years’ experience in event planning
Ability to set aside preferences in order to offer welcome to others
Ability to think ahead and anticipate the needs of others
Ability to maintain brand coherence in all marketing materials for programs and events
Excellent people skills, with pleasant, patient, professional manner
Ability to work efficiently independently and in collaboration within a team
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
Ability to initiate and maintain direct communication
Flexibility in responding to changing priorities

This is a hybrid position, primarily working from the Pasadena campus with some availability to work from home.
Pay Scale:
Salary rate the seminary expects to pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
