Event Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Event Planner to join Spare Time Entertainment, a family-owned business, at our state of the art facility in Omaha, NE. With over 50 years of experience in the industry, Spare Time Entertainment takes pride in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests in a family-friendly environment. Our facility is a hub for entertainment, featuring bowling lanes, an arcade, laser tag, and a full-service restaurant, allowing us to host a wide range of events from small family gatherings to large corporate functions.

Responsibilities:

Lead Management: The Event Planner will be responsible for managing leads from initial contact to event execution. This includes responding to inquiries promptly, conducting client consultations, understanding their requirements, and providing tailored event proposals.

Event Planning and Coordination: From concept to completion, the Event Planner will oversee all aspects of event planning and coordination. This includes creating detailed event timelines, managing budgets, booking vendors, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth execution on the day of the event.

Client Communication: Effective communication is crucial in this role. The Event Planner will be the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process, addressing their questions, providing updates, and offering exceptional customer service.

In-House Events: The Event Planner will handle in-house catered events, including corporate gatherings and holiday parties. They will work closely with our restaurant and entertainment staff to ensure seamless execution and a memorable experience for all guests.

Venue Promotion: Collaborating with the marketing team, the Event Planner will contribute to the promotion of Spare Time Entertainment as an ideal venue for various events. This involves showcasing our offerings, highlighting successful events, and leveraging social media platforms.

Requirements:

Prior Event Planning Experience: Candidates should have a demonstrated track record in event planning and management, preferably in a hospitality or entertainment setting.

Organizational Skills: Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously are essential to succeed in this role.

Communication Skills: The Event Planner must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Creativity: Being able to come up with innovative ideas and solutions to create unique and engaging events will be a valuable asset.

Flexibility: Our events can vary in size and scope, so the ability to adapt and handle unexpected challenges is crucial.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
