Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Event Coordinator supports the efforts of the agency and its volunteers in growing and cultivating in-kind and financial resources for RARCC by assisting with the event planning and logistics of the agency's signature annual fundraiser. Plays a lead role in telling the story of RARCC to the community-at-large to increase awareness of its programs, services, and critical needs to ensure successful future operations, through event creative, design, and communications.
Role and Responsibilities
Event Planning
- Support the CEO in handling event logistics, planning, and event production.
- Assists in event planning processes, including supporting the Gala Committee Chair, Committee Members, and key staff through research of best practices. creating,
- Supports the event planning processes by presenting recommended event tools and fundraising opportunities, and documentation such as timeline and progress reporting.
- Maintains event committee meeting minutes.
- Ensures the effective utilization of RARCC's event software through timely and accurate data entry to streamline donors' and stakeholders' day-of and post-event experience and for successful future stewardship and recognition.
- Serves as the primary event/donor database administrator, including entering all auction item donations and attending registration, purchase, and donation records.
- Assist and lead critical event set-up, tear-down, and follow-up logistics.
Media & Design
- Create captivating media that encourages donor support and conveys the mission, purpose, and vision of RARCC.
- Produce event related communications to include e-blasts, newsletters, press release, and event flyers.
Community Building & Stewardship
- In concert with the Gala Chair, CEO, and auction committee liaise with vendors, donors, sponsors, attendees, and other community stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order and build community trust and engagement.
- Champion a “culture of philanthropy” with volunteers, donors, and community members to promote in-kind and financial support of RARCC’s programs and services through positive interactions, stewardship, and effective utilization of volunteer and stakeholder support and services.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- BA or BS in Marketing and Design or equivalent
- At least two years of experience in event planning or event coordination.
- At least two years of experience in graphic design using Canva or similar software.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organized with exceptional multi-tasking abilities.
- Exceptional writing skills are a must.
- Working knowledge of the philanthropic Inland Empire community
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing donor database and event registration software (Greater Giving) or similar CRM platforms.
- Knowledge of and/or sensitivity to issues of sexual violence.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
