Job Description:

The Mining Customer Experience team is seeking an experienced Event Consultant to manage the planning, organization, execution, and measurement of various types of events. This global role requires a customer-focused mindset, strong managerial skills, the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, and an aspiration to curate and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

•           Leads the coordination and execution of Mining Shows and Events.

•           Works with internal and external suppliers to ensure top-quality production, on-time shipping and setup, and engaging brand messaging in graphics and displays for each trade show and exhibit.

•           Provides onsite setup and hosting support for the most critical live events, customer visits, and training.

•           Seeks best value for marketing spend, staying within budget and tracking invoicing to ensure timely payment.

•           Develops social media presence and campaigns related to live events, collaborating with business partners and agencies to drive increased customer engagement.

•           Supports dealer engagement by collecting customer experience (CX) feedback and developing/delivering marketing communications materials.

•           Advises on live event marketing trends, best practices, and industry competitive messaging.

•           Manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others.

•           Oversees project processes and procedures and monitors the productivity and performance of the project team.

•           Manages all aspects of projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing project progress.

•           Ensures adherence to project schedules and completion of project goals.

•           Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.

•           Manages Vendor/Supplier relationships: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g., vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants, and suppliers). Exceptional customer experience events.

Basic Qualifications:

•           A bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Digital, Media, or equivalent experience

•           4+ years of relevant work experience in event consulting and vendor relationships

•           2+ years of project management

•           2+ years of hospitality experience


 
Top Candidate will also have: 

•           Contract negotiation skills, enabling them to secure favorable terms and conditions that drive successful outcomes for our organization.

•           Trade show/customer events experience, handling essential details and creating memorable customer experiences.

•           Experienced Purchase Card Holder with proficiency in PCARD reconciliation, showcasing meticulous attention to detail.  

•           Excellent teamwork, relationship-building, and communication skills.

•           Technology aptitude with a keen curiosity for “know-how.”

•           Exceptional technical problem-solving skills.

•           Prior experience in mining or mining technology.

•           Superior communication skills – both written and verbal.

•           Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.

•           Ability to partner and build relationships across matrix organizations at various levels.

•           Self-starter and energetic team player
