Work you’ll do

  • Help organizations develop ethical safeguards across six key dimensions of AI: fairness of outcome, model e xplainability, data privacy and safety, and model quality and governance
  • Develop, deploy, and manage AI technologies in a manner that complies with regulatory and ethical principles. This involves considering the potential consequences of AI systems and ensuring that they are designed and used in ways that minimize harm while maximizing the value of providing modeling insights delivered to our clients.
  • Develop and use AI in a way that aligns with commonly accepted qualitative and quantitative regulatory and ethical principles and requirements
  • Collaborate with platform engineers, data engineers, system designers, architects, database a dministrators, and cyber security risk professionals to assist in the overall design of production modeling systems
  • Drive the development, ongoing maintenance, and governance of advanced machine learning models and AI pipelines in a growing AI environment
  • Work with a team of data scientists, engineers, and model validation professionals in designing and releasing new capabilities to advance data science techniques and improve the trust and transparency in the AI modeling lifecycle
  • Interpret and translate model results, metadata, trends, and takeaways to team members, clients, and executive leadership with varying levels of subject matter knowledge
  • Support thought leadership on the evolving agenda of AI model governance of overseeing the execution and effectiveness of key modeling governance activities around performance monitoring, testing, and change management in alignment with industry best practices

Q ualifications:

Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or physics
  • 4+ years of experience managing and analyzing big data
  • Hands-on development experience of AI/ML models, open-source software packages, or cloud AI software
  • Experience across the entire model development lifecycle, including interacting with model risk management teams and executing model governance best practices to support trust in AI
  • Deep technical understanding, including proficiency in an analytical programming language, such as SAS, Python, or R
  • Genuine passion for AI and interest in using machine learning techniques to solve practical business problems and ethical concerns
  • A driven self-starter and leader with strong project management skills and proven instances of successfully delivering AI projects and systems
  • A team player who can mentor and grow the team around you
  • Attentive to detail and quick to adapt to new challenges
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field, such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or physics
  • Experience with advanced machine learning techniques and packages (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy, Seaborn, Orange3, SciPy, Matplotlib, Theano)
  • Development experience of explainable AI algorithms and frameworks (LIME, SHAP)
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE) and/or Agile (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe SM, CSPO)
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience orchestrating MLOps pipelines (MLflow, Kubeflow)
  • Experience with designing controls for adversarial machine learning threats
  • Published research in the field of AI ethics or AI trust
  • Development of AI audit or governance frameworks
