About the Role & What You’ll Do:
Spur Reply is looking for a Senior Consultant – Machine Learning / AI Engineer to join our Ecosystem Engineering team. As a Machine Learning / AI Engineer, you are well-versed in developing and implementing large language models and have a solid understanding of the intersection between Machine Learning, software engineering, and product development.
What you’ll need (Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree or higher is a plus
- 3+ years experience in Machine Learning and AI, with a focus on implementing large language models
- Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques, process modeling tools, and data analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. (preferred)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Team player with a collaborative mindse
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient Machine Learning and AI models, with a focus on large language models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
- Be actively involved in the full model development lifecycle, including conception, creation, tuning, testing, and deployment
- Utilize AWS SageMaker for building, tuning, and enhancing Machine Learning models to ensure optimal performance
- Develop robust test datasets and validation frameworks to ensure the reliability and robustness of models
- Work closely with the ML Ops and software engineering teams to productionize Machine Learning models and integrate them into company products and services
- Proactively identify areas of improvement and innovation in our product portfolio and work closely with the product team to enhance our offerings
- Maintain a current understanding of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in Machine Learning and artificial intelligence to drive organizational excellence
What you’d bring to Spur:
- Solid experience with AWS SageMaker or equivalent platforms for building, tuning, and enhancing Machine Learning models
- Proven experience in productionizing and deploying scalable Machine Learning models
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or another programming language
- Proficient in ML Ops practices and tools to deploy and monitor models in production
- A strong understanding of Machine Learning algorithms, processes, tools, and platforms
- Demonstrated ability to identify the intersection of ML and software engineering and possessing strong product intuition to contribute to product development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Solid experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), Natural Language Understanding (NLU), and Natural Language Generation (NLG)

Additional Information:
Spur Reply (Formerly The Spur Group) is a consulting firm based in Bellevue, WA. In our hybrid working environment, our general working hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday. While we strive for work/life harmony, client work may extend beyond these hours and may require flexibility in work arrangements.
The base compensation range for this full-time position is between $120,000-$150,000 plus benefits. Compensation decisions are supported through market data, where regional variances may exist based on cost of labor. We also take into consideration prior experience, relevant skills, education and/or training, certifications, and, as applicable, other required qualifications.
