- Help to recruit, train, supervise, evaluate and recognize part-time staff and program volunteers within accordance of policies set by the Association.
- Oversee, generate, and maintain complete tournament/league design documentation.
- Maintain actively running tournaments and competitions.
- Create, maintain, and oversee competitive rules set for all league and tournaments.
- Complete reports on competition progress and completion to the executive team and other departments.
- Manage match and player dispute pipeline.
- Be a lead contact replying to emails and calls.
- Maintaining a fun and healthy competitive experience for all participants.
- Research and develop new competitive experiences in the esports arena.
- Be an active and vocal figurehead in our various communities assisting in coordination of live broadcasts or matches.
- Teach curriculum.
- The Esports Coordinator should have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a cordial manner.
- Must have access to consistent strong WiFi to work remotely.
- Must be able to work with members, program participants, volunteers, staff and vendors.
- Must obtain Esports Certification within 60 days and currently hold or obtain all trainings and certifications required by YMCA guidelines for this position.
- Ability to teach curriculum and facilitate lesson plans.
- Candidates should have experience and knowledge in the gaming industry.
- Must have a solid understanding of the management of equipment, tournaments, and Esports Programs.
- Current driver's license with acceptable record and vehicle liability insurance.
- High school diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
- Proficient in online gaming platforms and discord.
- In addition to knowledge of different games candidate must have knowledge of twitch or other streaming platforms.
