We are currently looking for an ESG/Sustainability Research Analyst for our Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Expected start date is January 2024.
The ESG/Sustainability Research Analyst will be instrumental in supporting our short- and long-term ESG strategies. This role is a blend of analytical rigor and strategic thinking, aimed at enhancing Boardwalk's impact on environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and ethical governance.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Supporting the Company's ESG programs and initiatives by preparing reports, analyses and narratives aimed at external reporting requirements, regulatory programs, and other requests for ESG related information.
2. Working collaboratively with internal departments to identify, collect, and analyze sustainability-related data to help track and drive progress toward ESG goals.
3. Conducting research and peer benchmarking to identify emerging trends in reporting, best practices, and metrics.
4. Assisting with the selection, design, and improvements to the communications, process, and tools used for sustainability related data collection, analysis, and reporting.
5. Assisting the program team in compiling, preparing, and presenting (in written and graphic format) summaries of the Company's ESG performance to internal and external parties.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2-3 years' experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data or a completed degree in a sustainability-related field.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of translating complex data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal abilities, with experience fostering collaborative relationships across diverse teams.
• A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to data management and analysis.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• Understanding of prevalent ESG reporting frameworks and standards such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) or others.
• Experience with ESG rating agencies and reporting programs such as ISS, S&P, or Sustainalytics.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in a Business discipline, Sustainability Management, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
