We are currently looking for an ESG/Sustainability Research Analyst for our Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Expected start date is January 2024.
The ESG/Sustainability Research Analyst will be instrumental in supporting our short- and long-term ESG strategies. This role is a blend of analytical rigor and strategic thinking, aimed at enhancing Boardwalk's impact on environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and ethical governance.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Company's ESG programs and initiatives by preparing reports, analyses and narratives aimed at external reporting requirements, regulatory programs, and other requests for ESG related information.
- Working collaboratively with internal departments to identify, collect, and analyze sustainability-related data to help track and drive progress toward ESG goals.
- Conducting research and peer benchmarking to identify emerging trends in reporting, best practices, and metrics.
- Assisting with the selection, design, and improvements to the communications, process, and tools used for sustainability related data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Assisting the program team in compiling, preparing, and presenting (in written and graphic format) summaries of the Company's ESG performance to internal and external parties.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years' experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data or a completed degree in a sustainability-related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, with experience fostering collaborative relationships across diverse teams.
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to data management and analysis.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding of prevalent ESG reporting frameworks and standards such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) or others.
- Experience with ESG rating agencies and reporting programs such as ISS, S&P, or Sustainalytics.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in a Business discipline, Sustainability Management, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
