Ninety9 Capital is looking for an experienced Escrow Officer to join our team. We our a private equity fund that purchased single family homes in the DFW area. You will be closing only transactions that we purchase. This position will be responsible for the following:
- Facilitate Escrow Process: The Escrow Officer manages the entire escrow process, serving as a neutral third party. They coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents to ensure all necessary documentation and funds are in place.
- Document Preparation: They prepare and review all legal documents related to the escrow, such as purchase agreements, deeds, and loan documents. Accuracy is paramount to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Fund Management: The Escrow Officer is responsible for holding and disbursing funds as instructed by the parties or according to the terms of the escrow agreement. This involves managing earnest money deposits, down payments, closing costs, and any other financial aspects of the transaction.
- Title Search and Insurance: They typically work closely with title companies to conduct title searches, ensuring the property's title is clear of any liens or encumbrances. They also facilitate the issuance of title insurance policies to protect the parties involved in the transaction.
- Closing Coordination: The Escrow Officer schedules and oversees the closing meeting where all necessary documents are signed, funds are transferred, and ownership of the property is officially transferred from the seller to the buyer.
- Compliance and Legal Requirements: They ensure that the escrow process complies with all relevant laws and regulations governing real estate transactions. This includes adhering to state and federal regulations and any specific requirements outlined in the escrow agreement.
- Communication: Effective communication is key in this role. Escrow officers keep all parties informed throughout the process, providing updates on the status of the escrow and addressing any questions or concerns that arise.
Education and Experience:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of previous experience.
