Job description

Overview:

The ERP Business/Functional Analyst holds responsibility for documenting enhancement requests and providing support to investigate problems within D365 for Pet Supplies Plus. This includes all data interfaces and processing to and from stores, distribution centers, the corporate office and third-party systems.


This individual will be responsible for the delivery of several upcoming D365 finance related projects in AP Automation, Banking and Sales Tax. Other areas of focus include the ERP interfaces for our distribution company (including vendor, item, store, purchase order, sales order, returns to warehouse, returns to vendor, and inventory adjustments), our supply chain systems (Manhattan WMOS, Inventory Optimization, Labor Management), and point of sale interfaces (item, price, promotions, departments, customer, store configuration).
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
The ERP Business/Functional Analystwill:
  • Take ownership of AR, AP, Bank, and Finance modules in D365 and act as a Functional Analyst to resolve any issues and design enhancements in those areas.
  • Investigate enhancement requests, write functional design documents, understand software functionality, and recommend solutions using industry best practices.
  • Work with our consulting partners and ISV to deliver new solutions for our users.
  • Participate in software updates, patches, and system enhancements.
  • Conduct end-user training sessions and create user-friendly documentation.
  • Contribute to the enforcement of best practices with the end-user base and promote the adoption of defined business processes.
  • Be an integral part of the financial statement close process by partnering with the corporate accounting and information technology teams to ensure an effective close process.
  • Contribute to solution design by establishing specifications and functional requirement documentation and working with developers to realize the change required.
  • Validate results by testing enhancements, configurations, and workflows for submission to User Acceptance Testing.
  • Key member of the On-Call group that provides 24x7 level support for our application suite on multiple platforms and environments including troubleshooting, debugging and problem resolution.
  • Working with the team; prioritizes problems, projects, and requests, and communicates / escalates where appropriate. Creates accurate work plans for various cross-functional projects – appropriately identifies risks, constraints, and assumptions.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a strong two-way communication channel between our business partners and IT.
PAWsome ERP Business/Functional Analystcandidates will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience building solutions with Microsoft ERP applications (D365 Finance, D365 Supply Chain Management).
  • Completed at least 1 Full Life-Cycle ERP implementation.
  • Strong practical Finance experience gained through industry experience.
  • Prior experience implementing financial modules with MS Dynamics AX/D365ground and expertise in analysis and design of complex business applications.
  • Knowledge of SKGlobal, Exflow and/or Avalara tax will be a plus.
  • Experience in a retail environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, task, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse set of users from upper management to helpdesk team and to be able to communicate effectively across groups.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage time and multiple priorities.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership of projects, with solutions meeting/exceeding requirements.
  • Proven ability to meet project deadlines and budgets and to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrates initiative, follow-through, and great customer service.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints and be able to adjust to a constantly changing, fast paced environment.
