About the position:
ING is looking for an Equity Derivatives Trader with at least 8 years of trading experience covering corporate and index derivatives products to work within ING’s Global Securities Finance (GSF) and Linear Equity Derivatives (LED) groups.
The successful candidate will work within the Linear Equity Derivatives group supporting existing corporate and index business and will help expand additional growth products to ING’s corporate customers. Product knowledge should include:
  • Listed Derivatives: Index Futures (broad-based Total Return and Sector); Options Combos (Index, ETF and Single Stock); Box trades, Dividend Futures
  • OTC Derivatives: Index, Basket and Single Stock Forwards; Index and Custom Basket Swaps; Dividend Swaps
  • Corporate Derivatives: Share Buybacks/Disposals (Discount/Premium to VWAP); At-the-Market issuance (Equity forwards); Employee Stock Option and Deferred Comp TRS
ING is looking for a detail-oriented individual with drive, a deep knowledge of equity derivative products and a commercial focus towards growing the customer-facing franchise working within a team of like-minded individuals.
Knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape governing these products is also important. The successful candidate will work closely with various pockets of ING’s distribution and sales networks across Corporate Banking and Financial Markets divisions and be able to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines.
The GSF global team is located across three regions (Americas, Europe and Asia) and reports to the respective regional Global Securities Finance Head.
Responsibilities :
  • Work within a team of Equity Derivatives Traders covering various listed and OTC derivatives products supporting existing institutional index and corporate derivative flow
  • Expand upon the existing product offering with emphasis on growth and diversification of corporate Equity Derivatives products to U.S. clients and beyond
  • Adherence to internal policies and procedures and ability to work within existing risk control limits and expand mandates for others
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • It is a pre-requisite that the candidate has strong programming skills in Python & Java
  • Experience with software lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines; knowledge of processing big data sets and experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and Keras preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree minimum requirement
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience trading Equity Derivatives products into institutional and corporate clients
  • Excellent attention to detail and risk management
  • Experience across business divisions working with distribution and banking channels and pitching complex and innovative structured transactions.
  • At ease with managing processes with a both internal and senior external stakeholders
  • Experience in working with diverse client base (across segments and geographies)
  • Licensing Requirements: Series 7, 63, 57
  • Self-starter, result oriented mentality and eye for high quality and integrity standards
  • Genuine team player who gets things done and helps others to be successful
  • Critical mindset and willing to be part of the solution
  • Excellent communication skills: able to clearly explain complex matter in simple terms

Base Salary Range: $275K-$325K
