Equity Derivates Salesperson

Position: The Event Driven Strategies and Derivatives Sales teams are seeking an options sales/strategist for the New York City office to focus on event driven situations (merger arb, spins, SOTP, activism, etc.).

Role:

• We are looking for a Derivates Salesperson with 2-8 years’ experience to work with the Event Driven Strategies and Derivatives Sales trading teams on the institutional sales desk in New York City.
• The focus is options trading idea generation for event driven situations (merger arb, spins, SOTP, activism, etc.).
• We are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about the equity market with the ability to identify (and monetize) options trading ideas based on event driven situations.

Required Background:

• 2- 8 years’ experience in equity markets and well versed in options trading strategies
• Ability to work under pressure, strong quantitative, analytical and communication skills
• Ability to analyze data and present conclusions concisely
• Accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail in aspects of work product
• A resourceful self-starter, able to work autonomously and as team player
• Ability to communicate and execute concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation, and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences
• Ability to work independently and manage multi-tasks at the same time
• Series 7 & 63 licenses

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $235,000.
