Job Description
Responsible for performing advanced level repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance for semiconductor equipment, Hivac Area (Axcelis GSD/GSD-HE, Centura EPI, Axcelis Purion, Endura Metal, Centura RTP and Axcelis 8200P). Assist in evaluating and providing maintenance requirements to ensure maximum availability of production equipment. Interfaces with Production and Engineers to identify and resolve process-related issues and provides technical guidance to other lower-level technicians. Determine methods and procedures for new assignments. May be informal team leader, and lead/direct the activities of the area shift pass-downs, and set priorities based on production requirements for the rest of the team.

- You are able to perform complex machinery problem solving of semiconductor equipment in production environment for Diffusion area and participate on problem solving teams.
- You are able to develop his/her own resources to solve problems and provides imaginative solutions to a broad range of difficult problems producing significant results.
- You can analyze recurring equipment failures and suggest innovative technical solutions, or new work methods.
- You can lead and direct the activities to develop/improve existing semiconductor equipment maintenance procedures and systems.
- You can collect equipment-specific performance data working with Engineering to develop and implement solutions to equipment-specific failures based on collected Pareto data, and tool deficiencies.
- You are able to provide technical equipment-specific training to lower level technicians.
- You can interface and direct vendor support to resolve equipment related failures.
- You have the ability to perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair on malfunctioning equipment to component level (diagnostic to component level), as needed.
- You have the ability to assist in resolving process issues and participate in yield investigations
- You can display proper judgment is required in resolving problems and carrying out assignment and making recommendations
- You can participate and lead/direct ERT/Safety events, during the absence of supervision.
- You are able to ensure all required parts are on order and follow up as required to minimize equipment MTTR.
- You can work with minimal management supervision to perform daily routines.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of technical experience in the semiconductor industry
- Must have demonstrated working knowledge of advanced electro-mechanical systems operations and maintenance and be able to work with minimal or no assistance
- Adequate knowledge of electronic theory, vacuum and pneumatics theory, principles of electrical circuits, motor control systems and test procedures and the ability to troubleshoot to component level
Compensation:
$23 - $40/hr
