Field Service Engineer

Job Summary:

QualiTau is a leading manufacturer of reliability test systems for the semiconductor industry. We design and manufacture instrumentation and measurement systems used for R&D and wafer process monitoring.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical services to our customers based in the United States. You will travel to various customer sites to install, troubleshoot, and repair our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Customer visits consist of system installations, training customers on how to run experiments and analyze data, communication of hardware/software field requests to our in-house engineering department and performing system calibration/verification tests. This position identifies problems and repairs product failures in the field.

Duties:
- Install, configure, and test our systems at customer sites
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, including controllers and precision measuring instruments
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with customers to identify their needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Create detailed reports documenting service activities, including parts used and work performed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage applications
- Familiarity with mechanical systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically
- Outstanding customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Willingness to travel extensively to client sites (up to 50% travel)
- Valid driver's license
