Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to contribute to the Manufacturing Engineering department for the Global Service Manufacturing team Manufacturing equipment Engineers will develop equipment, fixtures ,EOAT and work with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product launch lifecycle from design to full production ramp
What You’ll Do- The Equipment Engineer will be responsible for sustaining, improving, designing, and/or sourcing tooling and equipment
- Support immidately equipment issues during operations and sustaining continues produciton operation
- They will work closely with test engineering and controls engineers to maintain existing equipment and testers
- Develop expertise in manufacturing processes, analyze critical data, and understand equipment capabilities
- Optimize production equipment to maximize safety and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), driving world-class quality levels
- Design new tooling, fixtures, assembly aids, and equipment to enhance processes and yield
- Conceptualize high-volume production equipment, prioritizing safety, cost, capacity, volumetric efficiency, and delivery time
- Utilize CAD modeling and FEA structural analysis for new tooling/equipment, defining specifications and requirements
- Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with Automation/Control Engineers for design and implementation
- Support 24/7 production operations as needed
- Possess working experience with tools such as SEW EURODRIVE, Atlas Copco Fastening tools, Hipot Testers, CTS Leak Testers, Weld Controllers, etc
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to safety best practices
- Experience with Robot program troubleshooting
- Working experience with data visualization tools such as SQL and Python
- Experience specifying mechanical and electromechanical hardware
- Understanding of automation control systems PLC/HMI/SCADA (preferrably Siemens with TIA portal and Ignition) and interfaces with software and factory databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently or with minimal direction

$72,000 - $237,600/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
