Job Description

General Purpose of Job:

Design and implement application systems and work continually to improve application through upgrades, expansion, and other projects and mentoring of other caregivers.

Essential Duties:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

• Analyze, design, and implement application systems.
• Work to continually improve applications through upgrades, expansion, and other projects.
• Mentor Application Support Associates and other Application System Analysts
• Manage vendor relations/contracts for small/medium vendors
• Lead roll-outs and small module implementations
• Lead assessment/vendor selection for small/medium projects
• Proactively participates in knowledge sharing/transfer
• Complex tickets that involve multiple applications, system performance issues
• Work on large scale optimizations
• Provides command center support for go-lives
• Models proactive learning/pursues additional education and continuous focus on professional development

Job Requirements General Requirements * Must achieve Epic certification or have completed assigned training courses and achieved demonstrable mastery of other application within 120 days of hire. Work Experience * Minimum three years of relevant work experience (IT, Clinical, finance, etc) * Must complete and receive a satisfactory score on analytic skills assessment Education * Bachelor's or Master's degree in math, computer science, engineering or other analytic field OR associates degree and 5+ years of professional experience. Specialized Knowledge and Skills * Demonstrable and strong problem solving skills * Good written and verbal communications skills * Strong interpersonal skills * Professionalism * Desire for meaningful work and real responsibility * Customer service skills * Demonstrates ability to use a keyboard as may be required to perform the essential duties of the job. * Analytic experience in a healthcare IT environment preferred. * Certification or mastery of at least one application preferred. * One proficiency outside of core application certification preferred.
