Form of workPSI, an Intertek company, is searching for an Environmental Technician II to join our Building & Constructionteam in our Waukesha, WI office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!
What you'll do:
- Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Surveys
- Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Abatement Monitoring
- Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Clearance Sampling
- Phase II ESA Remediation Field Activities
What it takes to be successful in this role:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required, higher level degree preferred
- 3 or more years' experience in environmental consulting services
- Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold experience and certifications a plus
- Phase I and II and Remediation experience a plus
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Availability for overnight travel to project sites in Wisconsin
- Must be able to read and understand work plans
- Must be able to work off shifts and overtime
- Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound.
- Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)
- Ability to climb occasionally
