Tech2 Solutions (T2S) is a critical subcontractor on the N3B Los Alamos LLC team and provides program management and Technical services in support of the ground & surface water monitoring program at the U.S. Department of Energy's Los Alamos National Laboratory.

 

T2S is a full-service engineering and environmental consulting company with a worldwide reach in the areas of environmental monitoring and remediation, national security, systems engineering, data management and analytics for both federal and commercial customers. 

 

The Groundwater Monitoring team is currently seeking an Environmental Professional to support the Groundwater Monitoring Projects under the N3B Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract (LLCC).

 

The Environmental Professional will be responsible for querying groundwater data from the Locus Environmental Information Management (EIM) database and providing graphs of historical trends, provide support for other data analysis needs, and provide Data Review and interpretation of data relative to state and federal regulations and for technical report development.

 

The Environmental Professional will review regulatory requirements used to identify groundwater screening levels. The Environmental Professional must have excellent verbal and written communication skills for disseminating information to team members as well as for authoring technical reports.

 

The Environmental Professional will ensure all activities and operations are performed in a safe and deliberate manner; will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety and security an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to pause or stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.

 

Responsibilities:

         Query data for individual or groups of wells using Locus EIM database.

         Graph groundwater data and perform statistical analyses to determine trends and other evaluations to interpret the data.

         Screen groundwater data against applicable standards, interpret results, and communicate findings.

         Provide data to support development of the annual site-wide groundwater monitoring well sampling plan.

         Assist with developing sampling campaign samples plan tables using the Locus EIM sample planning module.

         Track and provide status updates regarding specific sample results and to identify possibly anomalous data and data exceedances of screening levels.

         Provide support as needed in preparation of regulatory and other deliverables as directed.

         Ability to coordinate with, and willingness to take direction from, project leads as required.

         Comply with all health & safety policies and practices.

         Comply with all site access and security requirements. 

 

Requirements:

         Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.

         At least five years of relevant experience.

         Familiarity with Locus EIM desired.

         Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills to communicate findings to a technical audience.

         Self-motivated professional who demonstrates strong time management, organization, and communication skills.

         Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs (R programming or GIS experience a plus).

         Valid driver's license required.

         Ability to work in a team-oriented project environment.

         Familiarity with the LANL site, access requirements, general employee requirements, and work environment preferred. 

         A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.

         Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements (Light Work)

         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

         The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
