We offer internships for students interested in learning more about environmental positions at the state level while gaining meaningful professional experiences. The intern will work directly with staff and executives on key environmental issues in a variety of capacities throughout the department.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE:
The chosen intern will:
- Participate in the planning and development of an eLearning course for Occupational Safety and Health for EGLE supervisors and management. The program being developed will:
- Provide EGLE supervisors and management with an understanding of EGLE's Health and Safety Program and their responsibilities within.
- Provide knowledge to fulfill those responsibilities
- Planning, design and development of eLearning course content using storyboards
- Development and delivery of Health and Safety training and information in an eLearning system
- Gain important knowledge and experience in the critical role safety and health plays in the work that EGLE performs on a daily basis.
Students seeking academic credit for this internship experience must work with their academic institution and the internship supervisor to coordinate any required paperwork or project tracking requirements.

Education
Current enrollment in a post-secondary education institution at a Junior or Senior level by fall of 2024
Actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in one of the following:
Environmental, Health & Safety Management, Occupational Safety & Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene
