Description
Fisher Associates is seeking an Environmental Site Investigation and RemediationGroup Managerto join our Environmental Group. The Site Investigation and RemediationEnvironmental Group Manager will provide leadership and technical expertise to our Site Investigation and Remediation group within the environmental service line. This role will be a proven seller-doer capable of contributing to the growth of our environmental practice and will report to our Director of Environmental. This position will be responsible for engaging in business development and providing management, technical and programmatic support for projects and staff related to Site Investigation, Remediation and Hazardous Materials. Client relationships and prior experience in the Oil and gas industry highly preferred.

The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Environmental to develop the organization's Site Investigation and Remediation strategy and goals. Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans for the Site Investigation and Remediation team.
  • Lead the Site Investigation and Remediation Business Development efforts and track and report on progress to goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand existing market penetration and enter new markets.
  • Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to identify Site Investigation and Remediation needs and opportunities for integration.
  • Maximize Site Investigation and Remediation capabilities to support internal teams, business development and department growth.
  • Effectively communicate with internal clients to establish realistic agreed upon schedules and clear expectations for projects.
  • Work collaboratively with Site Investigation and Remediation supervisors to manage and lead a team of Site Investigation and Remediation staff.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Collaborate with Site Investigation and Remediation supervisors and natural resources staff on the planning, execution, and completion of Site Investigation and Remediation projects.
  • Meet weekly with Site Investigation and Remediation supervisors to review project timelines, deadlines, and budgetary constraints.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and internal training of Site Investigation and Remediation staff.
  • Review, establish and enforce standards for efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Stay updated on the latest Site Investigation and Remediation regulations, technologies, tools, and industry trends.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team in selecting appropriate methodologies and approaches to Site Investigation and Remediation practices.
  • Assist in solving complex Site Investigation and Remediation problems.
  • Assist in budget planning and management for Site Investigation and Remediation projects, software, and hardware.
  • Responsible for delivering technically excellent services.
  • Prepares technical proposals and reports, managing client relationships, and growing/managing staff.
  • Oversee, lead and support projects in identifying and developing compliance approaches with environmental regulatory requirements, including RCRA, CERCLA, NEPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Clean Drinking Water Act.
  • Achieve all regulatory, siting, and environmental requirements and approvals needed to achieve project regulatory compliance, guidance and policy adherence, and Client objectives.
  • Represent Client's position in meetings with agencies; select and manage subcontractors; represent Fisher associate in policy discussions and developments regarding permitting and regulatory requirements as it pertains to Site Investigation and Remediation practices.
  • Advise/mentor staff to negotiate regulatory agencies to achieve acceptable permit/compliance conditions consistent with project and Client goals, schedules, costs, and environmental protection.
  • Oversees staff who conduct environmental and permitting due diligence on potential sites for projects.
  • Lead the development of strategies and designs for meeting client objectives and carrying out projects.
  • Oversees complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering projects.

Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Geology, Environmental/Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on Remediation and Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences or other related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Site Investigation and Remediation/hazardous materials, project permitting, environmental compliance and project management experience.
  • Professional Geology License (PG) or Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it, highly preferred.
  • Strong technical and business development background.
  • Proven ability to network and grow business into new and different markets.
  • Proven ability to lead a team to develop new revenue generating tools.
  • Prior staff management experience required including experience with leading and mentoring others.
  • Multi-media environmental compliance audit experience in various markets/industries a plus.
  • Complete understanding of MicroStation, AutoCAD, MS Office programs
  • Proven ability to participate in panel discussions, white papers, and poster presentations.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPPER safety training required
  • Complete understanding of appropriate safety methods and protocols, including appropriate personal protective equipment.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000 annually
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors.
