Primary Function:
The primary goal of this position is to increase sales, market share, and provide a high level of customer support. The primary focus should be around prospecting, growing, and maintaining satisfaction within the contractor, industrial, and municipal segments. We are looking for a high-functioning, self-motivated outside Sales Representative to join our team. This is a remote based position, with preferred location in or around the Grand Rapids, MI metro area. A background in heavy duty or municipal equipment is preferred but not necessary. Sales and product training will be provided at a high level throughout the career. This position will require significant travel within the territory (some overnight), and occasional travel outside of the territory for trade shows, meetings, and events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sell, train, and deliver Environmental Equipment to Best Equipment’s customers and prospects.
- Follow up on leads, referrals and other requests with a high sense of urgency.
- Create a product matrix with all customers via Salesforce, capturing products owned, ages, and serial numbers.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM for all daily activities, customer notes, quoting, and order submission.
- Prepare and conduct product presentations and product demonstrations to qualified prospects.
- Recommend, quote, prepare bids, collect PO’s, and deliver sold equipment, following proper check points and release gates, including completion of all delivery paperwork.
- Maintain and develop a high level of product and industry knowledge.
- Review and resolve customer complaints and issues with a high level of urgency. Maintaining a strong line of communication between departments.
- Understand and support established sales policies and procedures.
- Promote the company’s PM programs to customers within the territory.
- Maintain all required paperwork, expenses, forecasts, in addition to any other documentation required by management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- At least (3) years of sales experience required.
- High level of customer, territory, and time management skills.
- Highly organized with a keen ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
- Prior experience in a dealership atmosphere preferred.
- Prior experience with sales of heavy equipment both in the contractor and/or municipality space
- High level of professionalism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong desire to serve customers.
- Willingness to go out of their way to assist others.
- Working knowledge (preferred, not required) of Pandadoc, Tableau, Monday.com, Google Drive.
- Working knowledge of G Suite, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge and prior use of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce CRM.
- Attaining a Class B CDL within 90 days of hire will be required.
- A high level of integrity and ethics are required.
