NPM Buyer - Machines & Equipment

Responsible for purchasing activities for Non-Production Material for the assigned commodities/regions NA/SA, according to Purchasing Directives, Policy and KPIs

• RFQs, supplier selection and negotiation of price and T&Cs, contracting and implementation.
• Issue Purchase Orders in the respective system
• Support, quote, manage and present sourcing cases according to purchasing policy.
• Support negotiations and contract development with strategic and acceptable suppliers.
• Achieve annual KPI’s for cost reduction, approved payment terms, strategic supplier content, supplier consolidation and other annual KPI’s as assigned by management.
• Support key commodity initiatives and work with other commodity groups on cross-commodity projects such as equipment moves and equipment refurbishments.
• Drive implementation, maintenance, and usage of e-catalogs and e-auctions.
• Analyzing the conditions of the market, products and suppliers, incl. developing and supervising the list of local bidders, cooperating, networking and assessing strategic suppliers
• Identifying and leading cost reduction initiatives, optimizing local supplier base as well as analyze, challenge, and consolidate the stakeholder’s needs
• Undertaking individual assignments depending on management needs and individuals
• Support Regional Leader and Global Commodity Manager on reporting.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 3 years experience in non-production purchasing (commodity and/or operations), supplier development, operations or equivalent
• Experience with handling negotiations and know-how regarding principles and techniques of Purchasing.
• Technical / engineering skills.
• English verbal and written skills.

Pay: $64,787.15 - $78,023.23 per year
