Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Interior Designer to be based in Roanoke, VA .
_This position is expected to begin in June 2024._
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Initiating and developing design and construction document drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project’s discipline engineers.
+ Under minimal supervision, develops complex interior design drawings.
+ Exercises sound judgment in assessing problem situations or complex design issues and uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.
+ Reviews discipline supplier documents and other discipline’s supplier documents for accuracy.
+ Performs thorough and accurate material take-offs for the discipline.
+ Prepares designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures.
+ Reviews completed work with design and drafting personnel responsible for its completion to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes and design data.
+ Understands and assists with the planning and scheduling of design tasks associated with assigned project.
+ Assists in interpreting industry codes, permits, and standards, and ensures design and drawing compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
+ Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
+ Experience in project construction documentation using Revit.
+ Proficient in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suites products, or other related graphic software.
+ Knowledge of project design and construction documentation and materials.
+ Ability to work on multiple, fast-paced projects.
+ Ability to follow directions and manage specific tasks to completion.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Portfolio submission required to demonstrate skill set.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $19.00/hour - $26.00/hour.
