JOB SUMMARY

This position would best suit a candidate with a positive attitude and who enjoys working with Excel. Based in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, this entry-level Accountant job opportunity. The Accountant will be responsible for data entry, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. They will report to the Accounting Manager. This position is a great opportunity for future growth, and you will be joining a dynamic team.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Executing alternate duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
• Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts
• Put together monthly journal entries
• Assisting with audit fieldwork for both financial and operational audits
• Input data
• Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Investigating and correcting account discrepancies

SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred
• Applicants are recommended to hold an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on various tasks and projects
• Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 year of accounting experience
• Solid understanding of check processing
• Proven knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Data entry experience
• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience
• Expert level experience with Microsoft Excel
• ERP experience (highly desirable)
• General familiarity with Daily Deposit
