Financial Reporting Analyst

Bishop & Company is recruiting for a temporary Financial Reporting Analyst with our client in the financial industry. 
The Financial Reporting Analyst is an onsite, temporary role lasting until early May. 
Primary Duties:

• Prepare and analyze external financial and regulatory reports for regulatory bodies such as the FDIC, FRB, DFI, and SEC.
• Gather institutional data and compile financial reports and surveys for federal and state government agencies.
• Assist in creating financial reports for management, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Handle day-to-day general accounting and Financial Reporting tasks, including month-end close processes. 
• Generate accounting entries, maintain records, conduct monthly closing accrual calculations, and prepare consolidated and standalone financial statements.
• Conduct thorough analysis of financial results to ensure adherence to GAAP standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency.
• Support software conversions and implementation efforts.
• Contribute to special projects aimed at enhancing performance and shareholder value.
• Assist with audits and regulatory examinations, including quarterly reviews, annual financial statement audits, and benefit plan audits.
• Maintain and update documentation and internal procedures as needed.
• Conduct variance analysis, reconcile accounts, and help resolve accounting issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Previous Financial Reporting and accounting experience. 

Pay: $22.58-$25.80/hr, depending on experience
