We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in defining and implementing our enterprise technology strategy. As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing our technology infrastructure to support our diverse operations, including retail stores, cultivation, and manufacturing facilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our technology systems align with our business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to develop an enterprise technology roadmap and strategy that supports the company's growth and compliance requirements.
- Design and maintain the overall architecture of the company's technology infrastructure, considering scalability, security, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency across the organization.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for technology projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Architecture.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, solutions, and platforms to enhance operational efficiency and competitive advantage.
- Lead efforts to integrate various technology systems, applications, and data sources to streamline processes and improve data analytics capabilities.
- Collaborate with the security team to ensure that all technology systems meet stringent security and compliance standards, especially in the cannabis industry.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of the existing technology landscape, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Ensure that technology initiatives are in alignment with business objectives, cost-effective, and delivered on time and within budget.
- Mentor and guide technology teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to technology and the cannabis industry.
- 10+yearsof experience and a proven track record of delivery and growth
- Proven experience (5+ years) as an Enterprise Architect in a complex and highly regulated industry, preferably in retail, manufacturing, or cannabis
- Experience working within AWS, Azure, or both; and how application, infrastructure, and governance are deployed in these environments
- You think big, appreciate a good design diagram and can roll up your sleeves and dive deep when needed.
- Deep knowledge of software development practices, cloud and/or on-prem architecture, data, infrastructure, security, operations and deployment tooling and practices
- Ideal candidates have in-depth experience working in an Agile, Product Management, and DevOps environments
- Experience workingdirectly with clients in a cross-functional manner across different verticals leading a highly collaborative team of the best and brightest developers
- Experience servingas a leader for the fulllife-cycleof projects from requirements gathering, development, all the way through to implementation & roll-out
- Must be experienced in creating a strategic technology direction, aligning it with tactical activities, and communicating plans broadly across the organization
- Must be able to communicate effectively across multiple audiences, including firm-wide business units, senior leaders, associates, and external vendors
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and motivational skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles, including cloud computing, microservices, and integration patterns.
- Expertise in designing and optimizing technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
- Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead and oversee technology projects from conception to completion.
- Certification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Retail industry experience a plus
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess valid driver's license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
