Position Overview

Navistar information security organization has an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Security Architect Lead - Cloud Based Technologies.

The Enterprise Security Architect Lead provides expertise in the definition, design, implementation, adoption, and adherence to enterprise architecture and security strategies. This specific role is focused on expertise in security fundamentals, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud technologies. Strong Microsoft Azure and / or AWS expertise with a security mindset is critical to be successful in this role. The successful candidate must have demonstrated design & implementation skills to deploy and troubleshoot cloud-Based Technologies.

 

Additional responsibilities include security fundamentals assistance and direction to other teams, ensuring that all technologies work secure and effective together in the environment.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate application of end-to-end security design strategies, standards, processes, and tools in the cloud solution designs.
  • Develop security framework and solutions for Microsoft Azure and AWS applications and services deployment.
  • Provide Security Architecture, guidance and implementation leadership for Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS cloud technologies.
  • Contribute to creating cloud security governance model, establishing policies, standards, and best practices for cloud computing.
  • Ensure secure migration methods are defined and followed to move applications from On-Premises to cloud providers.
  • Maintain security controls for Microsoft Azure and AWS applications and solutions.
  • Participation in supporting the development and update of Enterprise Security strategies, standards, processes, and tools.
  • Works with constituents and the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team to gain consensus and establish application security standards, policies. and directions.
  • Support evaluation and selection of security tools, technologies, and processes.
  • Lead, coach and mentor application development and support teams to incorporate security during development and production support.

Required Skills

  • Strong security fundamentals, understanding on modern security technologies and tools.
  • Strong domain knowledge in Microsoft Azure and / or AWS cloud design and development.
  • Strong understanding on cloud security concepts, technologies, and tools
  • Strong understanding on modern authentication mechanisms like OAUTH 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, Webauthn
  • Strong understanding on Azure AD identity, authentication, federation, and Multi Factor Authentication
  • Skills to securely migrate the existing applications to cloud.
  • Knowledge of various Identity management / federation concepts pertinent to cloud computing.
  • Ability to position and convey security as a business enabler.
  • Strong, working verbal and written business and technical communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of various current IT systems technologies and standards
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of IT architecture experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • Master's degree and at least 6 years of IT architecture experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

  • At least 10 years of IT architecture experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience

 

Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills
  • Knowledge of infrastructure components, virtualization technologies, middleware, and SOA
  • Knowledge on Power Shell, scripting languages - Python, PHP, Java, Node and Ruby on Rails
  • A background in Network Security Architecture, IaaS, PaaS will be a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of the relevant legislations that might affect the security solutions.
  • Solid background in general security practices around IAM, SAML, Oauth, SIEM technologies
  • Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills leveraging all available resources.

  • CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • AWS and Azure certifications
