Job description

The Enterprise Architect - Process and Change Governance is a strategic member of the IT Transformation team. They are a consultative partner for our internal stakeholders, focusing on understanding their goals and strategies and mapping solutions to business outcomes. The Enterprise Architect will have a deep understanding of the solutions and capabilities represented within a large enterprise environment (infrastructure, applications, program management,change management, roadmap development, etc.) and experience driving change. 

 

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for developing cross-functional strategies and solutions bringing together technical expertise, real-world experience, strong executive engagement skills and an inspirational mindset to help solve business challenges. 

 

This position will report to the Senior Director – IT Transformation within the Information Technology department and is expected to be local to the Austin, TX office location.

Include, but not limited to: 

  • Demonstrates leadership to ensure that transformation solutions recommendations are comprehensive and meet business objectives 
  • Engagewith multiple layers of contacts within the organization to gain insights into the environment 
  • Translates business and technical objectives into prioritized, phased solutions 
  • Act as liaison between internal stakeholders technical subject matter experts 
  • Position transformation initiatives and drive the development of supporting documentation 
  • Accountable to manage and engage specialty resources to drive multi-faceted solution development 
  • Ensure that service designs adhere to standards, principles and governance processes 
  • Provide technology/architecture recommendations based on business relevance, appropriate timing, and deployment 
  • Keep the portfolio up to date, driving retirement of legacy solutions/technologies 
  • Contribute to the design of operational processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and compliance with policies and security requirements 
  • Oversee and facilitate the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards 
  • Develop a road map of the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio from current to future state 
  • Influence at multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges 
  • Drive organizational change in a meaningful and intentional way 
  • Develop and manage a 3-5 year roadmap for major initiatives 
  • Implement and adopt a governance strategy with a goal of business enablement 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or relevant work experience required 
  • 10 years + experience working on one or more of the following complex technologies: 
  • Program Management Office 
  • Transformation and business re-engineering 
  • Professional Services & Consulting 
  • Application Development and Modernization 
  • Business Process Re-engineering 
  • 5+ years in a technical or program management leadership role 

  • Experience in analyzing business requirements, recommending technical solutions 
  • Experience working with Enterprise level transformation, methodologies and tools 
  • Experience developing and executing multi-phase roadmaps for a global company 
  • Program management and leadership skills 
  • Comfortable navigating through ambiguity 
  • Ability to see the bigger picture 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities 

  • PMP, Agile 

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $110,000 - $227,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
