Form of workHelp us test and certify quality products for an industry leader as an Engineering Technician in Lakeville, MN at Hearth & Home Technologies.
What you will do:
- Set-up, run, and monitor prototype and/or product testing as assigned. Record and report data and results to engineering team.
- Build prototypes under the direction of the engineering team using multiple different materials and processes.
- Solve problems and offer improvement recommendations during testing and development.
- Understand/prototype manufacturing concepts and apply them to the new product development process, functionally integrating product & process development.
- Provide technical support throughout the entire product development life cycle, including the transition to manufacturing and post-launch technical support.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED, and 0-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Self-starter, able to complete projects with limited direction and communicate results.
- Prioritize projects and meet required timelines as directed by manager, project engineer and/or engineering team members.
- Effective understanding and use of fabrication tools, including shears, press brakes, welders, plasma cutters, hand tools, etc.
- Ability to work in a team environment to solve problems and meet timelines
- Interpret technical prints and specifications.
- Basic computer skills: i.e. Microsoft Office applications, Manage 2000.
