Summary:
Entry level position into the EF&I Engineering Department. The Engineering Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the engineering department. This person will assist in with data entry, job tracking, internal and external communications, and day-to-day administrative duties required for the engineering department.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is necessary. Some college or technical school a plus.
- Organizational and communications skills
- An understanding of various software packages including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace (aka GSuite), and equivalents
- Ability to quickly learn internal and external databases and software.
- Handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Consistently work under and meet strict deadlines.
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain internal engineering tracking databases
- Create and distribute new project templates
- Various data entry tasks in internal and external systems
- Learn and understand hierarchy of internal and external contacts and procedures
- Interface with customer representatives (customer logistics personnel, field engineers, vendor managers) on a professional basis – always remaining customer focused.
- Interface with “internal customers” such as field engineers, installation supervisors, lead installers, and installation techs.
- Perform day-to-day administrative duties required by the engineering department.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Administrative Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace (aka GSuite) or equivalents
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate with others.
- Ability to work in a changing environment
- Ability to be sensitive to our customers’ needs and always remain customer focused
Work Environment:
- The work environment will consist of a business office setting or remote work.
