Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and motivate a team of electricians and generalists performing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Perform cost estimates, projections and maintain project schedules for electrical installations.
- Provides clear written and verbal communication on project status, schedules and estimates.
- Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
- Inspects and tests components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gear.
- Utilizes work order management systems to receive, interpret, assign, and complete work orders.
- Read and analyze blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
- Manage purchase orders and ensure ordered materials are received.
- Complies with all company policies, procedures and adheres to company standards.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, federal, state, parish, local codes, and design documents.
- Performs any other miscellaneous duties as requested.
Requirements:
- Class A Licensed Electrician in Jefferson Parish required; State of Louisiana Electrical Contractors License preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team of electricians, technicians, and generalists.
- Trade school or high school graduate and 10 years minimum electrical experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and systems.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and experience using a work order management system.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to share project status and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience planning, scheduling, and executing electrical installations and repairs including material lead times, product knowledge and installation durations.
- Solid understanding of electrical codes and installation methods.
- Knowledgeable in the identification and repair of faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
