Job Description
Job Functions:
- Ensure consistent management and adherence to all Corporate policies and standards.
- Lead, coach and mentor a team of experienced engineering professionals to monitor and improve manufacturing processes, increase safety, ensure high quality, increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve yields on all products
- Oversee technical project execution by managing scope, detailed tasks, schedules and cost projections for all operations projects
- Support training, career development, employee engagement and resource/succession planning for team members
- Support operations staff in day to day build activity and problem-solving activities
- Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques through the application of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) concepts
- Seeks out advance technology, robotics, etc. as they apply to manufacturing systems and methods and lead the facility in their implementation.
- Collaborates with Finance to set annual and strategic capital budgets and assures execution of capital spending in accordance with those budgets.
- Approves engineering purchase orders to assure spending is aligned with approved budget guidelines.
- Collaborates with other functional managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across the team
- Develops and implements manufacturing engineering policies, standards and procedures
- Reviews, evaluates and implements all applicable manufacturing engineering changes to the process, equipment and standards
- Supports permanent corrective action plans to resolve outstanding internal and external customer issues related to quality, production, equipment, tooling and material selection
- Has previous experience in preparing complex test and diagnostic programs, software engineering, as well as knowledge designing test fixtures and equipment.
- International and domestic travel (less than 10%) to solve production related issues and/or customer visits.

Education:
- Degree in engineering with a minimum of eight years of experience in a manufacturing facility
- A minimum of 5 years department level supervisory experience and 15 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Budget planning experience, organizational and planning skills, communication skills and ability to adapt to work environment and customer needs
- Previous experience with any of the following: machine parts, machining, injection molded parts, die casting, welding, powder coat painting, or progressive assembly processes
- Willing to “roll up sleeves and do what needs to get done” to consistently deliver results.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, influence peers and drive execution.
- Lean Certification preferred
Technical Requirements:
- Proficient in CAD, Autodesk Inventor preferred.
- Strong Excel, Microsoft Word
- SYTELINE a plus
Experience:
- Knowledge of statistical methods for process control
- Understanding of assembly methods, tooling, manufacturing methods that include welding, metal forming, machining and molding.
