WHY CUSTOMER CARE:
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Customer Care engineering team within the Safety and Civility org. You will build automated and interactive systems to solve problems for the Roblox community. You will be responsible for large parts of Roblox's public and internal facing applications. You will report to the Senior Director of Engineering, Trust & Safety.
You Will:
- Guide large cross-functional projects that span multiple teams
- Drive the team roadmap, charter, and vision
- Uphold high coding standards and establish new ones
- Work for your team, being a force multiplier by unblocking issues and bridging the gaps between organizations
- Mentor engineers to make sure your team expertise grows over time
- Be guided by our vision to put the Roblox community first and represent us through thought leadership.
You Have:
- 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager
- 8+ years of experience in large-scale software development with experience delivering highly performant solutions.
- Able to contribute to architecture and implementation discussions with in-depth technical knowledge regarding large-scale distributed systems
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Programming experience in one compiled (Golang, C++, C#, Java) and one interpreted script language (JS, PHP, Python, Lua, etc)
- 5 years experience of cross team and discipline collaboration
- NLP and/or LLM experience is a plus
