Position Summary
- Responsible for determining and developing production processes for manufacturing operations consistent with team objectives. The Engineer Intern will be working 30-40 hour work weeks at Parker Hannifin's Slater, MO facility.
- Interacts with product engineering, manufacturing and quality functions.
- Reports to the team leader while providing technical direction in automation, plant layout, equipment, assembly, machining and other manufacturing concerns.

- Under the direction of the Team Leader, utilize judgment in performance of duties in conjunction with company policies, procedures, and processes.
- Analyze and organize production operations, routings, and sequences,
- Investigate manufacturing difficulties and determine corrective procedures.
- Assist with various related engineering functions, e.g., automation, design, standardization of parts, costs reduction, and quality control.
- Design assembly fixturing gaging, test equipment and general fixturing for secondary operations.
- Develop new processes for new or improved products.
- Work on projects improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Implement lean manufacturing ideas and principles on the production floor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Classified as a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college credits and enrolled in a 4-year Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or related degree.
- 0-1 year of experience preferred.
