The Role

The Engineering Geologist spends time working face to face withour customers to discover challenges and to assist them with solutions that arecertain to add value to their business. The role attends to new customerstrying out the software at the pre-purchase stage through to experienced usersneeding technical support, training or project assistance. We want to ensurethat our customers feel important and are well supported. By being aninvestigator and a problem solver, this role is responsible for providing bothsales support and technical expertise through integrated solutions awareness,analysis and response times.

A Engineering Geologist is building towards advanced levelexpertise on the workflows facilitated by Leapfrog Works, Central for fast,accurate model building and stakeholder collaboration.
In further contributing to the big picture, this role has willhave the opportunity to diversify their skills by providing assistance to thesoftware development teams based in New Zealand. Although based in NorthAmerica, this role will still be part of the global Technical Services team,who is responsible for ensuring that we understand our global client's needsand that we cover a wide spread of time zones. Travel and delivery of trainingmight make up 10% of your time per month in Canada, USA and Mexico.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • In combination with the EVP andRegional Director - Civil and Environment, develop growth revenue targets inlicense sales, support and training and project revenue.
  • Coordinating and completing high qualitydemonstrations, training, and technical workflow guidance in the region, usingexisting training materials and tailoring sessions to meet the needs of theclients involved.
  • Providing dynamic, real-worldexamples of the relevant software features to clients, maximizing learningobjectives and increasing their knowledge base.
  • Before a sale, help seal the deal bycreating and setting up demos, webinars and suppling product information toprospective customers who may be testing our software. 
  • After a sale, help with customeronboarding and training to encourage software adoption and increase usage ofSeequent solutions.
  • Help generate marketing content forwebinars, workshops, conferences, and other events as required.
  • Contribute to the provision of aworld class service support facility, which provides quick responses tocustomers, effective listening to understand issues, clear and confidentcommunication with the ability to provide education and support to all ourusers.

In order to be successful in this role, you should have:

  • University Degree in Engineering orGeoscience
  • Minimum5 years' experience in Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering
  • Experience with 3D Modelling,specifically Leapfrog Works is an asset
  • Salesand customer-focused support experience is a definite benefit.
  • Experience with Geoscience industrysoftware modelling solutions, ideally including Seequent's software solutions
  • Leapfrog Works, OpenGround, and Central
  • Sound business acumen and well-developedassessment, judgment, and critical thinking abilities
  • Innovative, open, and able to work ina fast-growing, fast-paced environment.
  • Mustreside in the North America for the job.
  • Fluent English is required, Spanishor French an asset.
