SalaryEnsolum, LLC (Ensolum) is seeking an entry level Geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Engineer to fulfill a position located in our Denver, CO office. Our scientists are responsible for thorough and accurate execution of technical and often complex scientific project tasks, including fieldwork, research, and report writing under the supervision of a project manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect soil, groundwater, and air samples for field and/or laboratory analyses.
- Create detailed maps, lithologic logs, and cross-sections.
- Gather, tabulate and analyze various types of data.
- Operate and maintain various types of field equipment and instrumentation.
- Learn and understand federal and state rules and regulations associated with permitting, compliance and remediation.
- Perform site inspections, including but not limited to walking surveys, stormwater inspections, site reconnaissance, and project oversight.
- Support asbestos, lead, and industrial hygiene sampling, surveying, and reporting.
- Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
REQUIRED
- BS in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or other related field.
- Demonstrated technical writing skills.
- Ability to maintain safety awareness and understanding of safe work practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information.
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required, although the personal vehicles will not be required for use in the field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Legally able to work as a full-time employee in the United States.
- Able to pass drug and alcohol screening and potential background and driving screening.
PREFERRED
- 0 – 3 years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection.
- Prior experience working in oilfield related industries.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
